Graduating cum laude from the University of California, San Diego, Bailey Militar plans on attending law school after earning his BA in political science and bioethics. Bailey was a prior division-1 athlete, playing on the men’s volleyball team and still loves to play and watch the sport. With a background in multiple fields, including corporate law, corporate finance, neuropsychology, political activism, and volunteering for UCSD's LGBT Center, Bailey has been a leader in engineering our website and writing for the Maria Ressa Project 2020. When he is not working on our project and studying for the LSAT, Bailey enjoys runnings, working out, coffee, and the fashion world; also working as a model in New York City.
Mia Schloss graduated from the University of California, San Diego in June 2019 with summa cum laude honors and a BS in Cognitive Science, with an emphasis on Language and Culture. She's worked as a research assistant, an instructional assistant at UCSD, and a volunteer at UCSD's LGBT center. In addition to contributing on blog posts and with website advice for the Maria Ressa project, Mia is currently writing a fantasy novel and applying to remote jobs and internships. In her free time, she rewatches comfort movies, bakes, listens to D&D and mythology podcasts, and occasionally cosplays as her favorite characters.
